Why Vacation in Mont-Tremblant?

 by: Paul Altobelli

Theme parks!
Imitation mountains covered with imitation snow; places to eat serving food that just might taste almost like you?re eating in a quaint, foreign restaurant, picturesque little fake villages that are supposed to resemble picturesque little real villages; hotels built around man-made lakes.
Sure they?re fun for the whole family but why settle for ?fake? or ?imitation? or ?almost like? when you can have the real thing!

Mont-Tremblant Resort located just eighty minutes by air (gate-to-gate) from Newark Airport to the Mont-Tremblant International Airport, is the ideal, four-season family playground with a real village, real mountains with real snow, real lakes for water sports or ice skating, real quaint restaurants, a real gondola riding over real trees. And there are no long, hot boring lines to stand in while waiting to have real fun.

Every season of the year Tremblant located just north of Montreal and nestled in the majestic Laurentian Mountains provides non-stop activities for all ages.
Mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, water sports and of course golfing on world class courses or mini-courses are just some of the many ways to fill up delightfully warm summer days.
There is always something happening in the European style village?festivals, wine-tasting, shops that sell more than dispensable souvenirs, and entertainment.

In the fall the Laurentians put on a majestic show when the trees change to their autumn foliage. Tremblant celebrates this with its annual "Symphony of Colours".
To truly enjoy this spectacle, just take the gondola up the mountain. Don?t forget your camera as this is one of the most spectacular fall displays in Eastern North America.

In winter, from late November to late April (and sometimes even into May), the Laurentians become blanketed with real snow and Tremblant truly shines as a premiere ski resort.
Ice climbing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, horse riding, sleigh rides, and so much more keep the whole family on the go all day long. In the evening, Tremblant also offers the best apr?s-ski and nightlife to help you unwind. There are child care services and baby sitting for the little ones. Parents can safely leave children in the care of responsible, trained supervisors who provide organized activities, light snacks and arts and crafts.

To insure your vacation in the Mount-Tremblant region will be memorable for many years to come, book reservations at the areas newest and only "Small Luxury Hotels of the World", all-suite resort hotel, Chateau Beauvallon (www.chateaubeauvallon.com). Inspired by the local architecture with its quaint exterior of gables, porches, shutters and comfortable, country chick interiors, every visitor will find a haven from the fun-filled, activity rich days. And here, everything is real including the lake and the magnificent Laurentian mountain vistas!

Dolphin Swim Seminars

Dolphin Swim Seminars

 by: Dr. Laurie Moore

Dolphins love to be in bliss. they have a wonderful capacity for
sweeping peoples' hearts into places of newly experienced joy.
I thought I was a person who felt a lot of joy all my life. However, once I experienced being befriended by dolphins, bliss took on a whole new meaning. From my encounters with dolphins I have learned that the deepest joy can fill me from the tip of my toes to the top of my head and deep in my heart. This kind of joy is unconditional. It is something I bring to situations rather than something I try to receive from situations.

Here's an analogy. If you
don't give yourself water for a long time
and then wring out a
towel day after day in search of water,
you get little. If you drink big cups each day, your body feels hydrated and full of water all the time. So you don't need to drain your water form a source that is dry....

Learn Chinese Pronunciation: the 80/20 Guide, Part 1

Learn Chinese Pronunciation: the 80/20 Guide, Part 1

 by: Kah Joon Liow

"I want to learn Chinese but just give me the basics!"

That?s what this Chinese pronunciation guide is all about. It?s all that you need to know about the pinyin system of Chinese pronunciation to get by.

The 80% that?s important. (Spend 20% of time to learn the 80% that's important.)

To speak Mandarin, the first thing is to learn Chinese pronunciation of words using the system known as pinyin.

Pinyin is the Romanized Chinese phonetic system and is the most effective aid to learn Chinese pronunciation today. (Romanized means using English alphabets.) Pinyin was invented in the 1950?s so that anyone, especially English speaking people, could learn Chinese pronunciation easily.

Most of the letters in pinyin have the same sounds as letters of the alphabet ? with only a few exceptions. It?s really a very practical system
that reduces the time...

Spyware IS Good

Spyware IS Good

 by: Andrew Wroblewski

How many times per week do you run your antivirus protection or anti-spyware or adware programs to ensure that your paranoia about having an infected machine is just that, paranoia?
With so many problems in the computer infection world, one cannot really blame themselves for checking up on their system on a routine basis.
However, do you ever really think about where all these programs come from because someone out there must be sending them out, they don?t just appear through spontaneous generation.
This makes one ponder the question as to who is sending these things?

There are thousands of spyware, adware, and Trojan horse programs that are running rampant throughout cyber space as you read this article.
But if you really think about it, just as war might be considered good for the economy, these computer infestation programs are good for the economy.
If you...

Using Private Label Articles To Create Profit Pulling Article Directories

Using Private Label Articles To Create Profit Pulling Article Directories

 by: Allan Wilson

By far one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to profit from private label articles is to use them as the foundation for creating your own article directory however NOT in the way the general crowd are doing it.

I'm talking about NICHE article directories such as Home Improvement Article Directory, Health Article Directory, etc.

Why Niche?

Because everyone and their dog in recent months have tried to start their own article directory and almost all of them are struggling to make them work.

They are all making the same mistake. There are already plenty of big successful article directories online and competing against these guys is always going to be tough work.

But going niche gives you the edge.

My reasoning behind this is the same as in any over saturated market.

Take the popular field of online dating. There are...

The Pursuit of Greatness

The Pursuit of Greatness

 by: Jeremy Likness

On June 3rd, 1948, a blast rocked the Black Hills of South Dakota. Ten tons of stone were dislodged from the mountainside and tumbled to the earth below. Earlier that day, a man named Korczak had ascended the mountain and single-jacked four holes at 6,740 feet above sea level.

Single-jacking is the practice of placing a drill-bit against hard rock, slamming it with a four-pound sledge hammer, then rotating the drill and banging it again until the hole is finished. It is a labor-intensive effort and a single man might only drill six to eight feet over the course of a day.

Over the following years more than eight million tons of rock would be blasted away. What was once a silent silhouette in stone began to take on a new shape. It would not be until over a decade after Korczak's death ? a full fifty years after he single-jacked the first holes ? that the face of his muse, the proud Lakota warrior...

Zermatt, the Eternal Alpine Snow, and a Peek at Switzerland

Zermatt, the Eternal Alpine Snow, and a Peek at Switzerland

 by: Joy Cagil

Mont Blanc stands proud as the highest Alp. Yet one of the most photographically reproduced is Matterhorn with the village of Zermatt at its feet.

When I first saw Matterhorn from the ground up, I felt as if I was looking at a solidified ardent flame. A native who saw me look at it with awe said: ?You can climb it,? as if it were nothing. I laughed...not at him but at me. I wouldn?t dare think of trying that.

In Zermatt, as well as other places, locals show off their skill by the number of times they have climbed the Matterhorn; although, many fall numerous times. A local had climbed it more than 300 times. His wife shrugged: ?Useless to say how many times,? she said. ?The mountain is going nowhere. It stays there and only the workless (also meaning worthless) do the climbing.?

There are no cars in Zermatt. Transportation is possible by using the cog train...

What is a Secured Loan?

What is a Secured Loan?

 by: John Mussi

A secured loan is simply a loan that uses your home as security against the loan. Secured loans are suitable for when you are trying to raise a large amount; are having difficulty getting an unsecured loan; or, have a poor credit history.

Lenders can be more flexible when it comes to secured loans, making a secured loan possible when you may have been turned down for an unsecured loan.

Secured loans are also worth considering if you need a new car, or need to make home improvements, or take that luxury holiday of a lifetime.

Benefits of secured loans include:

Lower monthly repayments than unsecured loans

The ability to borrow more money

Spread repayments over a longer period of time

More detailed information??

A secured loan is a type of loan available to people with securable assets. Usually these assets take the form of property, such as a home; this is why...

The History of Steeplechase Horse Racing

The History of Steeplechase Horse Racing

 by: Toby Beavers

The sport of Steeplechase racing dates back to 1752 in Ireland when two, half-crocked, friends settled the argument over who owned the best horse by racing to the nearest Church steeple after returning from Fox hunting. The winner actually rode right through the church where the vicar was holding a solemn funeral. Soon steeplechase racing spread to England, where in 1792, the first recorded race was held. This sport then crossed over from the Atlantic to the US, where it has became very popular.

In the early 19th century nine prominent men from New York - August Belmont, H. DeCourcy Forbes, Samuel S. Howland, James O. Green, Frederick Gebhard, A.J. Cassatt, Foxhall P. Keene, John G. Follansbee and Frederick H. Prince founded the National Association for Steeplechase. When it was first founded, its mission was to make the sport popular in the US and help it grow across the Atlantic. For...
